Data Science Club

SLU's Data Science Club explores how fields such as machine learning are used to extract and apply knowledge that can be found in large data sets. Efforts rely on both statistical theory and modeling together with programming skills in languages such as Python and R to efficiently anlayze data sets. For practical experience (and motivation and fun), the club typically explores data science competitions, such as those at www.kaggle.com or NCAA basketball pools.

Students interested in data science can also get involved in the SLU Data Science Seminar.
