Watching the World Change Over Time

The Geometry of Rainbows and Turtles

We live in a world that is better imaged and better connected than ever before. I will share projects about understanding how to use this imagery to measure the world, to find out what is happening right now, and then visualize how things are changing over time.  These projects are all driven by the goal of making it possible for everyone to build, share, and benefit from technology advances – and I will talk about what I have learned from making websites and smart-phone apps that make it easy for anyone to measure things they want to measure and to learn about things they most care about.
