Presentations for MATH 6980-16, covering Chapter II of Thom's famous 1954 paper on cobordism.  Click "More info" to download.

Question:  When is a homology class represented by a submanifold?

Seth Arnold will present Equation (4) through the determination of the (Q)-maximal terms in the expansion of the set of Equation (7).

This cohomological algebra is the most technical and hardest part of the seminar's material, involving specialized counting of non-dyadic variables.

For continuity, here is a link to the previous talk.
