Data analytics are central to biomedical data science. The data including multiple information are studied to develop a better understanding of molecular mechanisms and personal health traits to in turn, develop personalized treatments. In this talk, I will sample computational methods, algorithms and tools we have developed to enable precision medicine, which includes individual isoform transcript expression estimation, precise transcriptome assembly and precise detection of differential splicing events. I will also discuss our ongoing efforts in advancing biomedical data science.

Reception to precede at 3:30 p.m.
