Many students choose to complete a secondary major in mathematics to complement their primary major. An additional math major demonstrates problem solving skills and technical competency, and is an excellent foundation for graduate schools.
At SLU, a secondary major appears on your graduation records but is not an awarded degree. A student seeking a secondary major in mathematics may complete any set of degree requirements for the mathematics major, as the university makes no distinction between the BA requirements and the BS requirements for secondary majors.
